The objective of the game is to score the most points by rolling the five dice to make certain combinations. Players can roll the dice up to three times in a turn, trying to achieve one of the 13 possible scoring combinations. The player with the highest grand total at the end of all 13 rounds emerges victorious.

THE BACKGROUND: While luck plays a significant role in Yahtzee, strategy makes a huge difference. Players score each combination only once, and the number of different combinations that can be scored is equal to the number of turns in the game.

THE PLAY: On each turn, players roll all 5 dice. If they are not satisfied with the result, they can keep any number of dice and re-roll the rest up to 2 more times.

FAST PACED: The game ends after each player has had 13 turns and filled every box in the column with a score or a zero. The player or team with the highest total score for all games (up to six) wins.

WHAT ARE THE ODDS?: The odds of rolling a "Yahtzee" (5 OF A KIND) on the first roll are 1295 to 1, making it a rare occurrence.
